Combatant Commanders In-extremis Force (CIF) is a specialized unit within the U.S. Army's 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), primarily tasked with conducting high-risk, high-stakes operations in complex environments. Often referred to as a "Critical Threats Advisory Company".
